Founder of 36 Lion Football Club, Liameed Gafar says Lagos football fans should expect a better game from his team when they confront the MFM feeders team in the round of 32 Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.

The match would hold on Friday at the Alakoso football pitch, Epe, Lagos.

Gafar said his team have respect for their opponents but noted that they are not afraid of them. He admitted their opponents would be tough considering that football pedigree in Lagos. He said his coaching crew and players know what it is at stake saying that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment.

“Let me assure our fans to expect good football and we are playing to achieve a positive result. We have come a long way and we cannot afford to leave the competition at this crucial stage. It is going to be a tough game for both teams but I am optimistic that victory is ours,” he said.

Gafar charged his players to be tactical against their opponents and urged the officials to give both teams a level playing ground.

He however commended the referees that officiated their last two matches and called on their fans to give the club maximum support throughout the competition.

“This is a crucial stage and the officiating is very key at this juncture. The Lagos FA has been doing well since the competition had started three weeks ago in the area of officiating and I believe that good and certified referees would be handled all matches at this stage because every team wants to win at this stage to progress to the round of 16,” he said
