WGB Lagos FA Cup: Vandrezzer, Gbagada FC Land In Semi Final

Two teams on Saturday qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.


The teams zoomed to the last four stage of the tournament in the quarterfinal matches played in Ikorodu and watched by dignitaries who included the Director-General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Oluwatoyin Gafaar.


Vandrezzer Football Club booked a place in the semi-final after defeating Messiah FC 2-0 in a match decided at  Strong Tower Academy, Ikorodu, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

A 17th-minute goal from Chukwu Abraham and a 46th-minute goal from  Abdulsalam ensured that Vandrezzer FC picked the maximum points to stopped Messiah FC from reaching the last four stage of the FA Cup

In the second match, Gbadaga Football Club beat Ighalo Football Club 1-0 to book another ticket for the semi-final stage of the tournament.


In Sunday’s quarter-final matches,  the defending champions, Smart City will tackle NPFL side MFM. while Dannaz go to war against Box To Box.

Matches will be played in the afternoon at the  Strong Tower Academy, Ikorodu .
