The hall of the Senatorial District office of Senator Lanre Tejuoso on Saturday 13 May, 2017 was filled with supporters and constituents who had gathered for the empowerment programme initiated by the distinguished senator.

The initiative with the theme “We Lift One; To Lift Others” was in continuation of his empowerment drive across the six local government areas that make up Ogun Senatorial zone.

It was the turn of Abeokuta South Local Government to benefit, having recently extended the gesture to about 80 constituents from Abeokuta North Local Government.

At the event the Senator gave out cash to Ward Youth Leaders, Ward Women Leaders and three other members of each ward.

In all about 75 constituents representing the 15 wards in Abeokuta South Local Government Area benefitted from the gesture.

But before this event, the chairmen of all the wards in the local government areas had received a generator each courtesy of their performing senator.

The APC chieftains who graced the event took their turns to eulogise the senator for sustaining the empowerment initiative across the six local government areas and encouraged him to do more.

Chants of ‘Eni A Fe De’ rented the air as the chieftains commended their senator.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS expressed their joy and prayed that God will continue to bless their senator and give him more wisdom to continue to offer quality representation.

Many present confessed to have seen transformers installed recently in some wards but did not know that it was their performing senator that provided them.

The senator was also said to have provided solar powered lights at the health care centres across the wards.
