Ayomide Ogunnowo Steals Show, As Lagos Open Darts Tourney Ends Amid Pomp

The two-day Lagos State Open Darts Championship ended at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, southwest Nigeria with Ayomide Ogunnowo stealing the show after she came top in two categories of the competition organised to discover and groom young dartists in the state.
For the two days of the competition, the sports bar of the Teslim Stadium was a beehive of activities with Lagos State dartists showing their skills in the game which success in it depend largely on the mental cognitive and focus of the players.

EXPRESS reports during the prize-giving moment, which was witnessed by the Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, the Director-General of the Commission, Oluwatoyin Gafaar, Chairman of Lagos State Darts Association, Adegbenga Odofin, Ayomide Ogunnowo was called to the podium twice to received her winning prizes in the junior girls and female open categories to the applause of other players and dignitaries.
Other winners included Bisiriyu Kudus who came first in the junior boys category, while Adu Finyinfoluwa was second, Okafor Samuel and Jubril Yinusa jointly won the third position. Balogun Fathia was second in the junior girls with Hameedah Arowofella and Obayomi Usrot winning a joint third position.

Adeyemi Saheed won the male open category, while Damola Oluwagbenga came second. Famaki Pius and Olaore Olatunde won joint third position. Bokini Kehinde was second in the female open category, while Yekini Risikat and Maria Okpara won a joint third position.
The Lagos State Sports Commission has, however, assured the players that the second edition of the open tournament will be bigger and glamorous.
