Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge Warri 2021: Great Stars, Golden Albion, Great Avengers Zoom Into Semis

Great Stars FC, Golden Albion, FC Galaxy and Great Avengers Saturday afternoon zoomed into the semi-finals of the Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge Warri 2021.

To get to the semi-finals, Great Stars defeated Orion FC via penalty shoot-out 4-3 after playing a draw at the end of regulation time.

Golden Albion FC defeated FC Planners FC 4-0 with Ime Ekemini, producing another world-class performance after scoring the first hat trick of the competition yesterday. He scored two goals out of his team’s four in today’s quarter-final match.

In the third quarter-final ties, FC Galaxy defeated God’s Penal FC in a tough fixture that ended 2-1. While Great Avengers defeated Bello Precious International FC 3-0 in a pulsating match that got the spectators at the Army Day Secondary School ground on the tip of their seats through the game.

The semi-finals which will be played at 12 noon on Sunday December 26, would see Great Stars take on Golden Albion in the first semi-final at the tournament venue, and the second semi-final would see FC Galaxy battle against Great Avengers. These are all tough crackers going into the finals of the competition.

The third place will be played at 2pm, this will be followed by the Novelty match between Victor Ikpeba & Friends team against Bet9ja Agents in Warri, while the final match comes up at 4pm.

The champion team will take home a cash prize of N150,000, second place N100,000, third place N70,000 and fourth place N50,000.
