Ojodu Council Boss, Odunmbaku Moves To Ensure Quality Healthcare Service Delivery

Following his commitment to make Healthcare a topmost priority of his administration’s H.E.Y.S. Agenda, the Executive Chairman, Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, has taken critical steps to ensure its fulfillment. 

In a bid to further ensure quality health care service delivery, the Mayor held a first-of-its-kind meeting with the Officers in Charge (OICs) of all Primary Health Care Centers in Ojodu LCDA; to proffer lasting solutions to challenges facing the PHCs; such as electricity, staffing, water supply and security.

In his remark, Hon. Odunmbaku reechoed his commitment to the standardization and expansion of Gbadamosi PHC, upgrading of Apata PHC to 24hrs services which should be commissioned by second week in February,ensuring collaboration and partnership at Oluwole PHC as well as others within the LCDA.

The Mayor opined that before the end of first quarter the Local Council Development Area would have three flagship PHCs to cater for the residents.

“We are not resting on our oars. All our PHCs must be adequately upgraded and equipped for the benefit of our people. Concerning the teeming needs and challenges at our Health Centers, we’d ensure the provision of Doctors, Nurses, Health attendants, clerical officers, ward maids, engage contract staff and procure medical equipment as and when due”, Odunmbaku said.

Elated by the reception and audience given to them by the Executive Chairman, the OICs expressed their gratitude while pledging utmost dedication and commitment towards the actualization of the Odunmbaku-led administration’s agenda (HEYS). This would help to position the Council as the best in terms of health care service delivery in Lagos State. Being an inaugural meeting, the Chairman hinted that such would be held on a quarterly basis.

Also present at the meeting were the Council-Manager, Engr. Dele Abayomi, Medical Officer of Health, Dr Anne Okonma, the OICs and other Health officers.
