Atiji League Resumes As Organisers Task Teams On Discipline

The second stanza of Atiji Football League would resume this Saturday as three matches would hold at the NUD Primary School, Atan- Ota, Ogun State.

In a fixtures released by the organizers, Embassy would face Ultimate FC, Seria A Ultimate battle PASA as ABM FC tackle Mighty FC in the last match of the day.

On Sunday, Future Stars would take on Ridro FC, Marvelous FC face Salvation FC as New Stars clash with GLAM FC in the last match of the day.

Chairman Atan Iju Ologbo Football Coaches Association, Kamorudeen Oliyide addressing the Journalists in his office said the league involves 15 teams across Atan and its environs saying that the purpose of the league is to market some talented players and bring them to the limelight. He said the league was organized to keep clubs busy on weekend basis and tasked participating teams to abide by the rules and regulations.

“We are starting the second stanza of Atiji League this weekend and all clubs involve are looking forward to the commencement of the league. The league has been on before went on break and arrangement have been concluded to restart the league.

“I am happy that the league has come to stay and football fans, agents and club owners from far and near are coming to watch the league. If we continue like this, more players would get offers  to bigger clubs through our league,” he said.

Oliyide popularly known as Ajikawoifa reminded the club owners to educate their players and coaching crew about the laws of the game saying that any club violates the rules would be sanctioned.
