Ikeja Super League: Organisers Confirm 14 Teams For Participation

No fewer than fourteen teams have confirmed their readiness to take part in the 2021/2022 Ikeja Divisional Football Association DFA Super League.

This was disclosed by the Ikeja DFA boss, Taiwo Rafiu Alagbe in a chat with our correspondent recently in his office. Alagbe said the association is looking for twenty teams to complete the registration forms and urged the interested club owners to come for their collection of forms before it closes.

The teams that confirmed their readiness are Dosu Joseph FA, NAFRC FC, Crowned Academy, Olusosun United, Mighty Sparrow, Recovery FC, Reality FA, Alimcity FC, FUTPRO Sport.,Others are FC Ramond, 89 FC, Legacy FC, First Future Legend and Kotec FA

According to him collection, registration and submission of entry forms and documentation for participating clubs in the prestigious Ikeja Super League closes on Friday 25th February, 2022 as earlier announced.

The Ikeja DFA boss disclosed the Board has concluded all arrangements to organize al seminar for all the referees across the three referees’ societies ( Ikeja, Mushin and Agege Societies) that domiciled within the Division.

Alagbe revealed that the Ikeja DFA has concluded plans to bring a seasoned FIFA/CAF Referees Instructor and Referees Coach, Mr Callistus Chukwudi Chukwujekwu as the facilitator/ resource person and to be supported by selected FIFA referees from Lagos State at the seminar

According to him the seminar would hold on Saturday 12th March, 2022 at the Agege Stadium Complex Sports Hall, Agege by 9:00 am prompt.

He said immediately after the seminar the draws ceremony for the 2021/2022 Ikeja Super League will come up under the supervision of Lagos State Football Association officials where the 20 participating clubs shall be drawn into 2 groups ( A & B)

According to him,the Super League shall be on home and away basis (9 Home and 9 Away) where the winners and 1st runner up of each group shall qualify to play at the Agege Stadium Complex at the Super 4 series to determine the eventual league Champions.
