The Police in Lagos State have arrested a young man, Ifeanyi Njoku, who killed his 24-year old lover, Precious Okeke and had sex with her corpse for six days as directed by native doctor in order to become rich instantly.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oke Street in an estate at Badore, Ajah area of Lagos State, where Njoku lived with the late Precious.

According to Police sources, the suspect, Njoku, was desperate to become rich and approached a native doctor, who directed him to kill the late Precious and have sex with her corpse for seven days and thereafter he would become rich.

The suspect, Njoku, believed the native doctor and murdered the lady, Precious and had sex with her corpse for six days.

However, before he could complete the seventh day as was directed by the native doctor, he was busted after the stench emanating from his apartment prompted his neighbours to inform the management of the estate.

The management of the estate contacted the Police in the area, who went to Njoku’s apartment and discovered the decomposing corpse of the deceased inside his apartment.

Njoku was arrested with another accomplice, Mbam Atunmufor and detained at the Police Station for interrogation.

This was disclosed by the residents, who expressed shock over the dastardly act.

One of them stated: “The man killed his girlfriend about six days ago, and he confessed that he wanted to use the girl for money rituals. He said he was told that he should have sex with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days, but he was caught on the sixth day. Today (Monday) is supposed to make it the seventh day”.

“The smell of the corpse had been disturbing neighbours in the compound and other residents. So, they called the estate chairman to help in confirming what was going on in the apartment and while searching the apartment, they found the girl’s body.”

“The man was arrested and taken to the Lamgbasa Police Station and during interrogation; he confessed that he killed his girlfriend six days ago.”

“We learnt that the man offered N6m to kill the case; we also learnt that he brought the girlfriend from the village and they just moved into the estate.”

The State Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, adding that the deceased and the suspect were lovers.

SP Ben Hundeyin stated that the suspects are in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the alleged murder.

“Two suspects, Ifeanyi Njoku and Mbam Atunmufor, 36, have been arrested. They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation. Njoku was the one that rented the apartment.”

He stated that the suspects will be charged before Court after the conclusion of investigation for alleged murder, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty before the Court.
