Robbers Nabbed After Their Native Charms Failed Them During Operation

Three dare-devil armed robbers who reportedly procured a native charms to enhance their operation  have been arrested by the police during one of their operations in Lagos.
This followed after their trusted native charms disappointed and failed them during operation.
The suspects are Michael Eyen,30, Aina Adebasha, 35 and Olatunji Sunday 25.
They were arrested at Orisumbare Phase 1 in Ayobo, Ipaja, a suburb of Lagos.
P.M. EXPRESS gathered that the suspects met their Waterloo when they went and attempted to dismantle a new transformer installed in the area to sell.
They had hoped that the efficacy of their charms would enable them to carry out the operation successfully without the residents posing a threat.
However, unknown to them, the residents engaged the services of local vigilant who also knew their antics and eventually neutralized their charms.
They were  arrested and handed over to the police at Ayobo division.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that items recovered from them were dangerous tools,  hand gloves, cutters, and the charms and among others.
At the station, they confessed that they procured the purported charms for the operation and it failed them.
It was gathered that the suspects expressed shock and surprise on how the charms failed to work despite the fact that they have used it in other operations.
They blamed their predicaments on the presence of the vigilante group who apprehended and handed them over to the police for prosecution.
They were charged before the Ogba Magistrates court with attempted to steal transformer belonging to Ikeja Electric and illegal procurement of Criminal Charms under the Criminal Code.
They pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs M.I. Dan-Oni granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 19 June 2017.
