After thrashing Nasarawa United Feeders’ team 4-0 in the week 4 encounter of the Pipul TV Nationwide League one , Moses Ugbede , the captain of Abuja United has said that the team is getting better and the team will not fall to NAF Rockets when they trade tackles this weekend in Abuja.

Ugbede revealed that their victory over Nasarawa United Feeders’ team has given the players confidence as they play NAF Rockets in an Abuja derby clash.

“We are very happy to secure the maximum points against Nasarawa United Feeders’ team by beating them 4-0 and this victory is a morale booster to us and our confidence is very high and we are eager to play NAF Rockets at the Area 3 field , which is a no man’s land in the Abuja derby” Ugbede said .

Ugbede further praised the NLO for the good organisation of the league this season, while also revealing that the management of Abuja United are treating the players well in terms of welfare.

“We are happy with the NLO. The organisation of matches at the league venues has improved and Abuja United management are equally treating us (their players) very well with good welfare and that is the reason the players have resolved to keep improving with each game in the league “he concluded.

Meanwhile, having defeated Wazobia FC of Abuja at home 1-0 at the Area 3 field in Abuja, Stephen Mogah, the Chief Coach of Aklosendi Int’l of Lafia has said that Wazobia FC are not pushovers despite losing all their 3 games so far in the Pipul TV Nationwide League One this season.

To this effect, Mogah said that his team will not take the reverse fixture against Wazobia FC lightly, as he noted that the Abuja club side was a difficult nut to crack by his players and the result would have gone either side if Wazobia FC had equally converted the chances they created in the game.

“Despite beating Wazobia FC at home last weekend 1-0, I know that the team is not a pushover and they have good players that can wreck any team. We will not underrate them in whatever form” Mogah said.

Mogah, who captained Nasarawa United during his playing days in the Nigeria Premier League informed that the aim of Aklosendi Int’l FC is to secure top spot in the group and get promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

“‘We are playing to get promotion to the Nigeria National League ( NNL) that is our focus and I am glad that the players are determined and disciplined as we pursue this dream and nothing has been achieved yet until the end of the season” he said.

Aklosendi Int’l FC of Lafia are currently leading their group with 9 points from 4 games.
