A jilted civil servant, Bala Musa, has filed a suit against a popular Kannywood actress, Hadiza Gabon, before a Shari’a Court in Kaduna State for allegedly obtaining money from him under false pretence of getting married to him but eventually dumped him.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 48-year old embittered Musa has told the Court that he had been in a relationship with the actress and she promised to get married to him but she did not fulfill her own part of their agreement as she opted out after he had spent money on her.

He stated that he was traumatized by her action and so was demanding for the refund of his money and compensation for causing him pain by dumping him after obtaining his money.

“So far, I have spent N396,000 on her. Anytime she asks for money, I give her without hesitation with the hope that we will get married which turned out to be a scam.”

An embattled Musa said: “She also failed to show up in Gusau, Zamfara, where I live after I had made all arrangements to host her”.

The matter was first heard on 23rd May, 2022, but the defendant was not in Court after being served notice of the hearing before the Court.

On her part, the defendant, who was represented by her counsel, Mr. Mubarak Kabir, explained that his client was not sure of the authenticity of the summon.

”My client’s position, as a celebrity, attracts different kinds of people with different intentions.”

“She is very vigilant regarding her safety and security,” he said.

Kabir prayed the Court to give him more time to produce his client in Court.
The judge, Malam Rilwanu Kyaudai, adjourned the matter until 13th June, 2022, for hearing.
