2023: Why Anambra Central Should Not Look Beyond Ekwunife
TONY EZIKE

The sweetness of the pudding according to an age-long adage, is in the eating. Like wise, one actually need to have indepth experience of a leader in other to delve into giving account of capacity and prospects.
Besides lawmaking where she has made remarkable inroads, Anambra State has witnessed unprecedented rural-urban infrastructural transformation since the advent of Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife Ph.D.
The interesting part of the senator’s developmental strides is the fact that she extends community service beyond her immediate constituency, from her days in the HoR to the Senate. Absolutely none of those contesting against her can boast of such remarkable achievements.
The PDP Senator, Iyom, as she is popularly addressed, works for all classes of people straight up, not minding who they are or their status in life. She believes that nothing else is more important than birthing a better society through genuine democracy, which can only be achieved by representing the people passionately and creditably.

The world over, people need basic amenities considered to be essential to make life easier and more pleasant. Sen Ekwunife has provided the isolated towns, semi-urban and urban areas of the state with essential amenities, such as roads, running water, electricity, among others.
As if that was not enough, more projects and programs are springing up from her retinue of intervention packages on daily basis, so much that one can’t possibly enumerate the growing list of these interventions without embarking on several days of intensive project inspection.
To this end there is absolutely no reason for a change of leadership in Anambra Central senatorial zone as it stands. The electorate must reject self-serving politicians whose achievements does not cover the interest of the common man.
Senator Uche Ekwunife has performed creditably well, she’s still doing well and has demonstrated readiness to do better if reelected. To this end the constituency jingle for 2023 should be ‘Ekwunife for Senate Back2Back’
