A 39-year old man, ThankGod Umuna, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after he allegedly lured a 15-year old girl, engaged her in sex romp and they were caught in the act.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Umuna, has been arrested.
The incident happened at Ogunjobi Street, Iyana Ipaja, Aboru area of Lagos State, where they reside.
The Police alleged that the suspect lured the girl into his apartment, got her confused, then engaged her in sex romp before the information leaked and they were caught.
The girl revealed that the suspect lured her into the act without her consent as such she claimed that he actually raped her.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and he was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over the conduct.
During the interrogation, the suspect, Umuna, admitted to have slept with the girl but with her consent and they had no disagreement during the romp.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered Umuna to be remanded in custody pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
