However, Spelling Bee competitions have always garnered the interest of a large part of the population due to their fiercely competitive nature. From aspiring students to their enthusiastic parents, spelling bee competitions have evolved from a contest to a popular culture.
The lure of exciting cash prizes, along with other incentives, has been known to intensify the Spelling Bee spirit, with children spending hours in preparation for the contest. Following the success of previous editions, leading ICT company, MTN Nigeria, has announced the third edition of the MTN mPulse Spelling Bee Competition.
The rewards for this year’s competition promise to be mouthwatering for the top 20 spellers receiving gifts. The overall winner, along with the first and second runner-up and their English teachers, will also be rewarded with cash prizes for themselves and their. The Spelling Bee champion’s school will be rewarded with state-of-the-art ICT devices, while the winner also gets to become MTN CEO for a day.

The mPulse Spelling Bee is designed to help students expand their vocabulary, engage in healthy competition and provide young ones with relevant resources to maximise their potential. We hope this edition makes our kids goal-oriented, competitive, and willing to conquer future challenges. ”
