9th Senate And Senator Uche Ekwunife’s Scintillating Performance
CHRIS UMEOKAFOR (NNANYELUGO)

As the 9th Senate clocks three years and few months in its legislative functions and existence, Senator Uche Ekwunife’s performance takes preeminence among those of her colleagues as she ticks all the boxes for a leader who is committed to improving the fortunes of her constituents with an excellent service delivery. In just three years, she has overshot the promises she made to the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District while campaigning to be elected in 2019.
For her fearless and sparkling voice rising in the most alluring eloquence in the proposal and defence of motions and bills that seek to address the plight of the common masses on the Senate floor, she has been recognized as one of the two female senators that have sponsored the most number of bills.
Outside her primary legislative functions at the upper legislative chamber, Iyom has spread concrete democratic dividends across the length and breadth of her senatorial district. There are plethora of social amenities and other developmental projects ranging from Roads Construction, Housing Projects, Provision and Donation of Educational Equipments, Empowerment of Women and Youths which criss-crossed different towns and communities found within her Senatorial District.
It was in recognition of Iyom’s superlative representational performance and service delivery that moved the Traditional Head of Ukpo Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr Robert Chukwudilim Eze (Okofia IV) to confer on her the prestigious Chieftaincy title of IFEKAOLAEDO on December 18th 2021.
However, the climax of all the appreciative gesture the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District should offer Ifekaolaedo for her excellent service delivery in the past three years is for them to return her to Senate in 2023 because it is established that the reward for work is more work. Senator Uche Ekwunife has done exceedingly far above expectations and as such she needs to be returned to continue the good works for the people of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone.
