A 27-year old man, Mato Yohannah, arrested for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl has confessed to the Police at Bauchi State Command that he had only engaged her in sex twice before he was caught in the act.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Jimbi village, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, where they reside.
What would have motivated the suspect to have lured the victim and engaged her in the romp was not disclosed by the Police. He only confessed that it was not the first time he was doing such to the victim.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who confirmed that that the suspect was in custody undergoing interrogation over the conduct.
“On 24th August, 2022, at about 1100rs one Mato Yohannah ‘m’ 27yrs of Jimbin Village, Ganjuwa LGA was arrested by the detectives of Ganjuwa Divisional Headquarters after he had canal knowledge with one (Sara Ezra), not real name ‘f’ 3yrs old of same Jimbin village, Ganjuwa LGA. During the investigation, the suspect confessed to having raped minors for the second time.” PPRO stated.
SP Wakil stated that the suspect will be charged before the Court for defilement but that will be after the conclusion of investigation by the Police.
