LASSIP: Lagos Sports Commission Ends Capacity Training For Games Masters/Mistresses

The Lagos State Sports Commission has rounded off the Capacity Building Programme it embarked upon to broaden the knowledge of games masters and mistresses on the modules of school sports on how to discover, monitor and nurture talents.

Speaking at the last day of the Training which spanned 3weeks, with 2 days per Education District, lasted for 12 days for 450 games Masters and Mistresses at the Sports Bar, Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Executive Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, Sola Aiyepeku said the Training was designed to empower Participants with more skills needed to teach the pupils in class..

He added that Sports can be seen as a Business that is lucrative which will serve as income for them during and after Service, also, for the Students by picking an interest in a particular sport.

Participants extended their appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for acknowledging the importance of physical education teachers in the State by bringing this initiative to them. They appealed to the State government for the programme to continue.

At the end of each session all participants across the Six Education District were given certificate.
