A 15-year old girl became traumatized after she was allegedly abducted and gang raped by two men for five days in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olujumoke Street, Ikotun area of Lagos State, where one of the suspects, ThankGod Ifoh, resides.
While she was said to be in captivity, her parents were searching for her as a missing person for days to no avail. Her parents then reported to the Police at Ikotun Division, who moved into action and eventually arrested, Ifoh and transferred him to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command for interrogation.
During interrogation, the suspect told Police that the girl was not abducted as claimed by her parents and that they engaged her in the sex romp with her consent for those number of days.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy and defilement.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O.Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
