Man, 40, Docked For Fondling Breasts & Luring Girl, 15, Into S*x Romp

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Sikiru Irewunmi Street, Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State, where they reside.

Trouble started for the suspect, Yusuf, after he lured the girl, used words of mouth to hold her, fondled her breasts and she became confused before he engaged her in the act.

The girl later realized herself, raised alarm that she was raped and the matter was reported to the Police in the area. The Police arrested Yusuf and transferred him to the Gender Section of the Command for interrogation over the conduct.

During interrogation, he admitted to have slept with her but with her consent because he did not force her into it contrary to the victim’s claim.

However, the Police found him culpable because the victim is still a minor and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice over jurisdiction.

The Presiding Magistrate,  Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 19th October, 2022, for mention for the DPP’s report to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
