“We believe strongly in APC. The party is intact here in Ideato North, this is why you are seeing ex – this and ex-  that in this gathering.”

“Therefore, in view of the above, we shall deliver APC 100 % in the 2023 general elections. We have to do this because APC runs in blood vessels. In order words, we are APC in blood, body and spirit. As a  matter of fact, Ideato is the heartbeat of Imo State APC – our youths are strong, our women are equal to the task and the men are very much alert. APC holds the key.”
With the above measured and clearly delivered words of solidarity served as prologue from the APC Chairman in Ideato North Local Government Area, Comrade Chidi Egbuoh, popularly called Ozone Layer, the beautiful event of the day took off magnificently.
The Imo State APC Organizing Secretary, Chief Iyke Umeh, was radiantly joyful as he admitted that “Here is my Local Government Area, and I am happy for the orderliness I have observed here. I can only urge you to add little motivation for us to do more”.
Toeing the dignified path already established and buoyed by the colourful order and charismatic atmosphere of the day, the various organized women and support groups, who looked both zestful and bubbling, the sole administrator of the Council, Hon. Christopher Ohuizu (Hardware) thanked the visiting team and his people.
“Honestly, it is great to be in your midst. It is joyful and I can inform you that my people are overwhelmed with happiness. What you will take home is that we do things together in Ideato.
“We love one another and so we do things in one spirit and one accord. The slogan here is: one party, one structure. The import is that we shall give APC all our votes in the 2023 general elections”, Ohuzu assured.
The House of Assembly candidate of the party for Ideato North State Constituency, Comrade Ernest Okey Udeze (Okey is Okay), who was hailed to high heavens when he stormed the arena, added colour and glamour with his sonorous voice when he spoke.
According to him; “I am here to inform you that Ideato North APC is the rave of the moment. We are the best organized bloc in the state. We have what it takes to win next year’s general elections at all levels. You can see that the leaders and the led are at peace with one another”.
Apparently, the man who stole the show was the APC candidate for Ideato North and South Federal House of Representatives, Dr (Sir) Chika Benson Abazu. To practically demonstrate his capacity and panache, the council’s reception ground, Urualla erupted with frenzy and almost went joyfully uncontrollable when he breezed into the centre.
Abazu’s entry into the arena dramatically changed the course of  the event for better – with his band of support groups and followers which were mainly youths and women, Abazu sensationally woke up those who were hitherto dozing off or snoring in their sleep. The drums that heralded his emergence attracted attention to the extent that traders in the streets, passers – by and other onlookers thronged into the event’s venue.
Speaking, he said, “Today is not a day for long speeches. It is time for action. I am here to guarantee our party, Governor Hope Uzodimma and our people that we shall triumph”.

Abazu is a medical doctor who served for more than two decades as a civil servant.
Relating Governor Uzodimma’s executive message to the people, Ebere, in a vivid, lucid and  symbolically driving home his Town Hall Meeting Team gospel which is on how to win the the 2023 general elections, the party chairman warned against laxity, disunity and anti party actives.
He maintained that the essence and importance of the town hall meeting was to cheer up the party members in their doings as well as identify what were the pains and problems confronting the party in the LGA.
The Chairman was particularly happy that Ideato South polled the highest number of presidents general among the LGAs visited so far. He, however observed that there were few leaders who ought to have been in attendance but were conspicuously missing.
