A jilted housewife, Mrs. Adeola Waisu, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after she allegedly arranged robbers, went to a popular hotel, where her husband, Kareem Waisu, had lodged with a lady, stole his Toyota Camry car and escaped.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular hotel located at Okoji Street, Cele Egbe, in Ikotun area of Lagos State, where Kareem had lodged.
The mother of three kids, Mrs, Adeola, had a disagreement with her embattled husband, Kareem, over an undisclosed matter where they reside at Ilerogbo Street, Ijeshatedo area of Surulere and he sent her away with the children.
While the embittered woman was looking for how to feed their children, she got information that Kareem lodged in a hotel with a lady. She then hired robbers, went to the hotel and carted away the Toyota Camry car with registration number, FST 729 GS.
After the reported sex romp with the lady, when Kareem went where he parked his car, he discovered that it was no longer there. It caused confusion in the hotel until information leaked that his wife, Adeola, came with some people and drove the car away to an undisclosed location.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ikotun Division. The Police have started manhunt for Adeola and her accomplice in order to recover the car but it has not been successful as Adeola was said to have gone into hiding.
So far, Adeola’s brother, Waheed Babajide, has been arrested and charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates over his alleged involvement in the disappearance of the car at the hotel.
The 35-year old Babajide was charged for conspiracy and stealing the car with others now at large, which he denied and pleaded not guilty before the Court.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.An.Ariyo, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
He was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 22nd November, 2022, for mention.
Meanwhile, the Police have intensified efforts to recover the car and as well apprehend Adeola and other defendants for prosecution over their conduct.
