Pregnant Woman Stripped For Sprinkling Substance Against Witchcraft Attack

A pregnant woman, Mrs Chioma Nologu has been battered and stripped by her neighbour, Eloyahu Edozie for allegedly sprinkling some substance procured from her spiritual father over witchcraft attack allegedly planned to harm her by his co-tenants.

The neighbour, Edozie has since  been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for assault and remanded in prison custody.
The incident happened at Salimon Ayinda Street, off Governor’s Road in Ikotun area where both the suspect and victim reside in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the embattled woman went to a church where she was told that her co-tenants wanted to harm her through her pregnancy and the cleric prepared some substance and gave her to sprinkle around their compound that had about 10 tenants.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that she was directed to sprinkle the substance for 21 days before she will enter labour room to deliver her baby otherwise that she might die in the process.
However, when she carried out the directives of her pastor for two days successfully, she encountered problem on the third day.
It was gathered that Edozie’s wife had a bad dream concerning their two children and informed her husband which they suspected might be as a result of the ritual by the victim.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that on the third day when she woke up in the morning to continue the sprinkling of the substance, Edozie confronted her, collected it from her, mixed it in the plastic with water and threw it away.
He also attacked, battered her, tore her clothes and she was naked before their neighbours intervened and she ran into her house.

The assault was reported to the police and Edozie was arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrates court for the alleged assault under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O Adedayo granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 22nd of August 2017.
