Owo Unity Cup Enters Semi Final Stage In Lagos

The ongoing Owo Unity Cup which started last week has reached the semi final stage at Eko Boys High School, Idi-Araba, Mushin, Lagos.

The competition was organised by football enthusiast, Musbau Oseni in honouring Owolabi Badara who played in Mushin for years before he retired from the round leather game.

In the semi final fixtures released by the organisers,Eko Boys All Stars clash with Lyon Blessed FC on Thursday (tomorrow) as MS Success battle Original FC in the second semi final.

Oseni disclosed that arrangements have been concluded to organise a hitch free semi final matches and warned the football fans to shun violence that can tarnish the image of the competition.

“We are using this medium to urge our football fans to stay away from vices that can bring the tourney into disrepute.The competition is not a do or die affairs but the teams should see the tourney as a way of assessing their players fitness ahead of future high profile football competitions,”he said.
