A 36-year old homosexual, Sikiru Ajibola, has landed in trouble for allegedly raping a 5-year old boy to death through anus penetration and secretly burying his corpse in a shallow grave inside the bush.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ogijo area of Ogun State, where they reside.
The suspect, Ajibola, has been arrested by the Police operatives from Ogun State Command and he is now facing murder charge over the alleged death of the boy.
This was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who hinted that the suspect was in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the conduct.
Oyeyemi explained that the suspect, Ajibola, was arrested following a report lodged at Ogijo Divisional Headquarters by the CDA Chairman of Olorunwa Arogbeja Ogijo, who stated that one of the community members informed him that the suspect had unlawful carnal knowledge of a 5-year old boy, consequent upon which the innocent boy died in the process.
Upon the report, the DPO Ogijo Division, CSP Enatufe Omoh, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene, where the suspect was promptly arrested. On interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed being a homosexual and that while he was raping the deceased boy, the victim gave up the ghost.
He further confessed that he quickly dug a shallow grave in a nearby bush, where he buried the boy. He has also taken Policemen to where the deceased was buried.
According to SP Oyeyemi, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution over the alleged murder.
The suspect may likely be charged before the Court if the Police find him culpable for the alleged offence, which attracts life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court. But that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
