Anambra’s Budget Of Acceleration Holds Exciting Promise

Soludo’s budgeting process hits a different but exciting chord amongst analysts. First, the timing shows strategic prioritization of governance over and above politics. This is exemplified by the cordial relations between the Executive and the Legislature, an unusual situation where the people’s welfare is held in primacy with an inherent urgency not to disappoint them, bringing about expedited passage of the budget before the year ending.
The budget is heavy on transforming the infrastructural outlook of the State with a significant increase in the capital expenditure from 2022 benchmark.
With the Economic sector taking up about 72.1% of the Recurrent expenditure, it is largely expected that there will be huge reduction in poverty and the average onye Anambra would experience a fair share of economic prosperity ceteris paribus.

Again, there is greater clarity on the budget financing. Nothing is hidden! And by next month (January) the budget document will be online for public access.
Kudos to Soludo and his team, and congratulations Ndi Anambra. The year 2023 is already looking great.
