Soludo At It Again, Calls For Establishment Of College Of Anambra Former Governors

Posted on December 20, 2022

Ideas, they say, rule the world. Ideas are results of thought. Frankly speaking, the value of an idea has little or nothing to do with sincerity of the man who expressed it. The more an idea is developed, more concise becomes its expression; the more a tree is pruned, the better is the fruit.

Amidst abundant lessons replete in the visit, the Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s visit to the country home of his immediate predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano, was greeted with an idea- the need for the establishment of a ‘college of former governors’.

Governor Soludo has continued to demonstrate genuine interest and commitment towards the development of Anambra State. His ultimate intention is to develop the state into an Island of opportunities; that is liveable, where people can work and enjoy.

Governor Soludo understands that the former state governors have a barrage of experience that should be mined- that they should be brought on board on advisory-role capacity. This is not only commendable but desirable at this time of great uncertainties in all facets.

It is often said that there is no stopping an idea whose time has come. Perhaps, this is the appropriate time to implement this very idea.

Simply put, this is my tiny voice re-echoing Governor Soludo’s call for the establishment of a college of former Governors; especially the progressives. Let’s try things differently. Let’s exploit this idea in an attempt to rule our world.

Clearly, this is another of Professor Soludo’s disruptive approach to governance and development. Trust the process.
