Lagos SWAN Congratulates NOC Newly Elected Officers

The entire executive and members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos State Chapter under the chairmanship of Olatutu Oladunni, has congratulated the newly elected Officer of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).

The elected officers of the NOC are led by the returned President Eng. HABU Gumel, Secretary General Mr. Tunde Popoola, Olumide Oyedeji, Eng. Musa Kida and Others.

The Lagos SWAN chairman Olatutu Oladunni also congratulated other executive members of the NOC elected at the Elective Congress held in Jalingo, Taraba State on 15 December.

The Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni in her congratulatory message said the election of the new elected Officers to manage the affairs of the NOC and most especially the return of Eng. Habu Gumel for the fifth time, the secretary Mr Tunde Popoola, Olumide Oyedeji, Eng Musa Kida would bring back vibrancy and credibility into the NOC.

The experience of the new blood and experience of the returned officers of the NOC should be put together to harnessed a vibrant National Olympic Committee. And also to enhance the great future.of Nigerian sports in general.

The Lagos SWAN Chairman, however, commended the New Secretary General of NOC, Tunde Popoola to always carry the sport writers along in their activities as good synergy was missing in the past years due to some personnel who assume the know it all.

She also promised the New board the assurance of good and positive reportage from the entire members of Lagos State Sport Writers Association and she hope a good relations will be established across board. We call on the newly elected Secretary General of NOC, Tunde Popoola to sustain the relationship between NOC and journalists.
