Posted on December 24, 2022

Following a viral voice note on WhatsApp late last night, the Anambra Youth Volunteers in collaboration with the Anambra Joint Enforcement Team (ANJET), raided the entire upper Iweka to smoke out criminal elements terrorizing the area.

This effort is in line with Governor Soludo’s instruction that ndi Anambra must have a crime free Yuletide.

The attached videos show amateur footages of apprehended suspected criminals and the hideout from which they perpetrate heinous crimes. Going forward, the Anambra Youth Volunteers in collaboration with ANJET and other law enforcement agencies will continue to make Upper Iweka and environs inhabitable for criminals.

Speaking on the development, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, Leader, Anambra Youth Volunteers and
ANJET Zonal Coordinator, Anambra North, said “We have deployed a team of local youth volunteers around the State to support law enforcement agencies with intelligence and enforcement where necessary”.

“We urge Ndi Anambra to support Mr Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s effort to make our homeland Liveable and prosperous. Compliments of the Season!”
