There Is Nothing As Important As Keeping A Heart Of Flesh

Posted on December 30, 2022
Of course I am a typical sinner with my common and unique load of sin – the very vanities that present me with some form of essence for living. However, the older I get the more emboldened I become to shed off some of these loads and understand that I can really do without certain vanities.
For me, the church has a new role to play with many like us who are slow in spiritual  maturation. Sadly, the modern church, with particular reference to some pentecostal and orthodox sects, have grown increasingly impatient with the growth process of flocks like me. This is why new definition of Christian living is arising that beats the understanding of some fathers of the church who now battle with keeping younger members in the fold.
I ask that I may know, why do we have a huge bulge of young Christians in certain churches, while some others have become quasi “old people’s homes?” Don’t tell me about the narrow path of salvation being rough and lonely. This is the last days when the  scriptures say that God will pour out his spirit upon all flesh.
The church must evolve to sustain the “hearts of flesh”. Most doctrines have become so tough that all it does is to radicalise and develop more persons with a heart of stone. These churches must now begin to ask why.
