APGA Shuts Down Anambra!

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), held the mother of all rallies today in Awka the State Capital signposting the beginning of a forceful campaign to consolidate her place as the third largest political party in Nigeria, and the true abode of progressives in the country.

This is Governors Soludo’s first outing as the National Leader of the Party, and has been adjudged a huge success by observers. The rally witnessed the official handing over of the party’s flag to candidates contesting various elective positions; from APGA’s presidential candidate, Prof. Peter Umeadi, to Governorship candidates of States across the country. APGA has also fielded thousands of candidates for legislative positions — National and State — for the February and March elections.

Speaking to the crowd of party supporters, Governor Soludo and other notable speakers including the National Chairman of the Party, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, the BOT chairman of the Party and former Governor of the State, Chief Willie Obiano; Amb. Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, wife of the Late National leader of the Party and former Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, all described APGA as the Party with great interest in the unity and development of the Country. Gov. Soludo emphasized that APGA is the first Party in the history of Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999, formed in 2002 with true Progressive ideals, and was the first to add the word “progressives” to its name in the period under review.

The mass of persons who thronged the Alex Ekwueme venue of the APGA rally today, have reaffirmed the unwavering and implicit confidence the people have in the party in the State and beyond. The rally was a huge success with interesting talking points that resonates with the political cravings of the people.
