De Beautiful Beginning Coach Speaks After Winning Kid’s Cup In Lagos

De Beautiful Beginning School of Magodo head coach, Raji Rasheed has commended his school team for emerged as champions of first edition of Bright Sun College Kid’s Cup held recently in Lagos.

In the final played recently,De Beautiful Beginning School from Magodo, Ikeja humbled Divine Offspring School based in Allen, Ikeja 4-1 in the final of the competition which was played at the Bright Sun College football pitch,Agidingbi,Ikeja, Lagos.

The Kid’s Cup which was put together by Atico Global Concepts Limited headed by Prince Wale Atiba kicked off some weeks ago among selected private primary schools in the state.

In a chat with Journalists after the match, Rasheed admitted that both teams played a good fooball but noted that his school team were determined and focused which gave them advantage over their opponents.

“It was a tough final.My players were better in term of goal scoring.They took their chances that came to their way.This is to tell you that we were focused and more determined throughout the encounter,I congratulate my boys for the job well done”he said.

Bryan Adeojo of De Beautiful Beginning School who was adjudged as highest goal scorer expressed delight with his performance and promised to take football as professional career.

“I feel great to score seven goals and won the highest goal scorer award.I dedicate this award to my parents who give me their unalloyed support and i won’t forget my school mates as well and the school management for their support to make my dream come to reality.

“I promise to keep playing and bring more laurels to the school in subsequent football tournaments,”he said.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Principal of Bright Sun College, Abdulkhodii Uzakov commended the finalists for their brilliant performance saying that the tourney has brought friendship, and discovered some hidden talents in various participating schools.

He particularly congratulated the champions and urged the other private schools in Lagos to see sports especially football as a catalyst for social development in schools.

While Principal of Nigerian Tulip International School,Elkhan Gasimov praised organisers for the successful competition and also commended the finalists for their effort to reach the final stage.

Meanwhile in the third place match played earlier, Nigerian Tulip International School defeated Rola International School 2-1 to emerge as third position winner.

Cash prizes, awards and medals were given to the champions, first and second runner up, while outstanding players were also received gift items for the job well done.

Chairman Organising Committee, Prince Atiba thanked all the schools that participated in the tournament and promised to do better in the subsequent private schools football tournaments.
