A 28-year old man, Illiyasu Garba, has landed in trouble for allegedly luring and engaging a 10-year old boy in anal sex in Kaduna State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Garba, has been arrested.
The incident happened on 22nd January, 2023, in Kaduna town, where they reside.
According to the Police,  the suspect lured the victim to his apartment, removed his clothes and forcefully penetrated his anus in order to satisfy his sexual desires.
However, having satisfied himself, he allowed the victim to go. But his trouble started after the victim went home and reported what happened to his parents; the matter was reported to the Police and he was arrested and detained for interrogation over his conduct.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Kaduna Magistrates Court  for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Ibrahim Emmanuel, ordered his remand in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 20th March, 2023, for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
