A landlady, Mrs. Stella Abodunrin, had a nasty experience in Lagos State over her insensitivity to CBN cash crunch as she went to her tenants to demand for electricity bill and the tenants promptly responded by sending their dog to attack her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Lasis Ige Street, Igando Road, Ikotun, Lagos, where the house is located.
The tenants, Emmanuel Olawepo, 25 and Chukwuebuka Herbert, 25, have been arrested. They later charged before the Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and threatening the life of their landlady, Mrs. Abodunrin, by sending the dog to attack her.
The landlady was said to have gone to the house to ask for the bills from the duo as she claimed their inability to pay their bills was affecting other tenants in the compound.
The two tenants were said to have vented their anger on her for coming to demand for the bill despite the fact that they claimed that they had no money to eat because of the CBN cash policy that was biting hard.
The alleged assault was reported to the Police at Igando Division and they were invited by the Police but they refused the invitation, attacked the Police officers and destroyed their property.
However, the Police later mobilized, eventually arrested and charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
They pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.A. Ariyo, granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
The matter was adjourned till 13th March, 2023, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
