2023 Elections: Anambra Deputy Speaker, Agbodike Humbles Incumbent & Others

The Deputy Speaker of the 7th Legislature of Anambra State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike, has humbled the incumbent Federal lawmaker representing Ihiala Federal Constituency in the election preparatory to the 10th National Assembly.
Declaring the results on Monday at the Ihiala Local Government Headquarters INEC collation centre, the Returning Officer Prof. Anthony Okoye, said Paschal Agbodike, who contested the constituency election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), polled a total of 5,709 votes to beat the incumbent Ifeanyi Chudi Momah, who contested the same election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and scored 2,554 votes.
Agbodike also defeated Hez Okonkwo of the Labour Party who got 3,536 votes. Other candidates Agbodike defeated include ADC who got 12 votes, APC 351 votes, NNPP 22 votes, SDP 16 votes, YPP 1313 and ANPP scored only 2 votes.
Meanwhile Rt. Hon. Dr. Paschal Arinzechukwu Agbodike is currently the House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Screening and Election Matters of the 7th legislature of Anambra state and also represents Ihiala 2 State Constituency.
