A 17-year old boy, Soji Olaro, has  confessed to the Police that he has been a deadly armed robber and had killed their victims during robbery operations after dispossessing them of their valuables before he was arrested in Ondo State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Olaro, made the confession after he was arrested by operatives from the Ondo State Police Command for robbery and killing in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
He revealed that he formed an armed robbery gang with two of his friends and they had been going for operations within Ore axis of Ondo State before he landed in trouble and was arrested.
The suspect, Olaro, explained how he was arrested. He stated that he went for operation with his two other friends and was arrested while the other members of his gang escaped the Police during the raid.
This was disclosed by the Police, who paraded Olaro at the Police Officers Mess Alagbaka, Akure, where he made the confessional statements.
He stated: “I was with my two other friends, who I met in Ore and this was not the first time we have been operating in Ore”.
“The last time we went for an operation, we killed someone and at this time, I ran out of luck as I was arrested while my accomplices bolted away.”
“We normally use cutlasses and heavy stick to carry out our operations. I don’t know them before, but we only meet whenever we have any operation to carry out, and we agreed to work together”, he confessed.
The Police stated that efforts were being made to apprehend his accomplices now at large and the suspect will be prosecuted before the Court for conspiracy, armed robbery and murder under the Criminal Law of the State after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
