Organisers Begin Preparation For Reis Table Tennis Tournament In Lagos

Organisers have been concluded plans to organise second edition of Reis Table Tennis Tournament in Lagos.

The annual ping pong game would hold from 24 through 27, May,2023 at the indoor Hall of Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos.

Founder of Reis table tennis tournament, Engineer Christopher Olaseni Reis told Journalists in Lagos that the tournament was designed to create platform where young individuals can use table tennis as a tool for social engagement, personal development and skills acquisition.

” We believe that through this initiative, we an help to reduce social vices and secure the future of less privileged children in Nigeria.

“We have plans for various categories in this tournament and we are expecting male, female and veteran categories to feature in the tournament.We should also know that the competition is extended to other states because we want more entries from other states,”he said.

Reis who double as chairman Organising committee disclosed that they are expecting no fewer than 400 table tennis players in this year’s edition and urged the interested individuals and clubs to come for their registration forms.

He also revealed that top two table tennis players in the tournament would be given scholarship and also send to Aruna Quadri table tennis academy for further training.

President of Eko Club, Razzak Amodu expressed club commitment to support the tournament and urged the participants to play the game according to the rules.

In her own comment, a member of Reis Table Tennis Tournament, Reis Abimbola revealed that the tourney is an initiative conceived to use the sport of table tennis as a rallying point for social engagement and youth development.
