You’re To Die By Hanging! – Judge Tells Man Who Threw Elder Brother From 2-Storey Building

“You are guilty for murder charged, you shall be hung by your neck until you are pronounced dead.”
P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the judgment the High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, which sentenced Emmanuel Okechukwu Okonkwo to death for killing his elder brother, Christian Okonkwo.
The alleged murder incident happened on 29th July, 2019, at No. 13, Udi Street, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The convict, Emmanuel, attacked the deceased, threw him from a two storey building and he died in the process.
He was later arrested and charged before the Court for murder, went for trial and was found guilty.
The  Presiding Judge, Justice Iheanacho Chima, found Emmanuel guilty of attacking his elder brother, Christian Okonkwo, with an iron rod and killing him having thrown him from the two storey building.
The judge held that the convict was said to have also thrown the deceased out of the 2nd floor of a two-storey building, which caused his death on July 29, 2019, at No. 13, Udi Street, Abakaliki.
Emmanuel was found guilty of committing an offence punishable under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 33 Volume 1, Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria, 2009.
He was subsequently sentenced accordingly to death by hanging.
