Less than a week after an estate agent in Ikorodu, Ganiu Lateef, raised alarm over attempts on his life, three of his workers on Wednesday morning escaped death as they were attacked by hoodlums suspected to be working for a popular land grabber, Sir K Oluwo.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Lateef, who is the owner of Galat International Limited, also stated that he was surprised that the hoodlums, who attacked and injured his workers, still took them to Imota Police Station and labelled them as cultists.
He however, commended residents of NITEL Estate, who resisted attempts by a known ally of Sir K Oluwo, Mukaila Salau, alias Actor, from killing one of the workers in the estate.
The estate agent said, “Early this morning, I received a call that two of my workers, Shakiru Shittu and Taofeek Aluko, were returning home when vigilante members led by a certain Ojuelegba, who works for Sir K Oluwo, stopped them on the road”.
“They were still questioning the motive behind the attempt by the vigilante to waylay them when they began to attack them. They beat the two of them to stupor.”
The estate agent added that, “They searched their vehicle and could not find any incriminating object but they kept beating them and took them to Imota Police Station”.
“I was still trying to report to the Police when I got information that another of my worker, Sola Sonaike, was also attacked by Mukaila Actor and others at Itamaga area of Ikorodu.”
He added, “I heard that he was also beaten mercilessly and taken to Actor’s house in NITEL Estate, Ikorodu, where he was about to be killed before security men and residents trooped out and kicked against that”.
“Sola is still recuperating from the attack on his life by the cultists, who invaded Abatiwa im Odogbolu Local Government two weeks ago.”
“It was the same Sir K, who was declared wanted by the outgoing Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, AIG Frank Mba, over the attack. One of my workers, Kamoru Anifowoshe, was killed in that attack.”
According to the estate agent, “When they questioned the hoodlums, Actor told them that he was instructed by the officer in charge of Anti Cultism, Geoffrey, to arrest them”.
“The CP should urgently intervene on this matter. He should investigate the relationship between Sir K and the said Geoffrey. This is certainly a plot to cover up the murder of an Assistant Superintendent of Police last week” he stated.
