How Security Operatives Arrested 3 Kidnappers & Rescued Victim

Three members of a criminal gang of kidnappers have been arrested by a joint team of security operatives in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that they were arrested on 27th April, 2023, at about 20.30 hours.
The arrested hoodlums were: Chinonso Offor, a native of Enugu State, resident in Ekwulọbịa, Hyceint Ugwuike, native of Nsukka, resident in Onitsha and Samuel Sunday from Akwa Ibom but resident in Isuochi, Abịa State.
The gunmen had hot gun exchanges with the security operatives, after which the operatives also rescued their victim, who was kidnapped at Neni by Okacha Junction.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects included two AK-47 with live ammunition, fake Police and Army uniforms, two mobile phones, two bulletproof vests, two Walkie-talkie, one black Prado SUV with registration number: GWA – 696 CM ABUJA, one ash coloured Lexus 350 with registration number: EKY – 605GV LAGOS and others.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikéngà said that the hoodlums confessed to Police operatives as being members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The hoodlums are still in Police custody undergoing further investigations.
