Nigerian Man Who Impersonated As White Lady On Social Media For Love Scam Jailed

A Nigerian man, Macaulay Matthew, who Impersonated as a white lady on social media for love scam, has been arrested and jailed for two years imprisonment in Kaduna State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the judgment of Justice A.A. Bello of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna, who found him guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
The convict was found guilty on one count charge bordering on possession of fraudulent documents brought against him by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Matthew was said to have dishonestly created a profile on Snapchat, where he represented himself as one Ms Dancing Tits, a white Syrian woman based in the United States of America, which was false. He was trailed, arrested and then charged before the Court for the alleged offence.
The charge read, “That you, Macaulay Matthew (M) sometime between December, 2022 and April, 2023 in Kaduna, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, had in your possession a document containing false pretence to wit: a profile you dishonestly created on Snapchat, where you represented yourself as one Ms Dancing Tits, a white Syrian woman based in the United States of America, which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act”.
 He pleaded guilty.
Justice Bello convicted and sentenced Matthew to two years imprisonment or a fine of N150, 000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).
The Court also ordered the forfeiture of Apple iPhone 6S to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
