Transformers Hits Cinemas In Nigeria, Ghana June 9

The 7th installment of the Transformers film series titled, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will hit the cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana from June 9, 2023.

Distributed by Silverbird Film Distribution, Transformers is an immersive, action-packed franchise spanning more than a decade.

It introduced us to a new world of shape-shifting robots that can transform into vehicles, weapons, and all kinds of machinery.

It is a franchise that is greatly beloved by millions of people, and movie lovers are excited to have it come to the cinemas.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a whole new adventure featuring a new set of characters mixed with the ones we know and love.

It is set against the backdrop of the 1990s, an exciting time of new and never-before-seen technology, introducing new and never-before-seen characters.

The Autobots fight once again in the battle for Earth against the Decepticons, however, new allies and threats join and must pick their respective sides.

The Maximals and Predacons, robots that can shift into dangerous animals, each must stake their own territories and align themselves in this pursuit for dominance.

This is a prequel set before the events of the first Transformers film but after Bumblebee.

This edition of Transformers is one of the first to include people of colour, Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, as the main leads.

The iconic role of Optimus Prime will be reprised by legendary voice actor, Peter Cullen.

As mentioned, fan favourites like the beloved yellow Camaro, Bumblebee will appear in this series.

Other acts such as Mirage (voiced by Pete Davidson), Arcee (voiced by Liza Koshy), Wheeljack (voiced by Cristo Fernández), and Stratosphere (voiced by John DiMaggio) will equally star in the film.

The Maximals is also stacked with a great voice cast: Optimus Primal will be voiced by Ron Perlman, Airazor is voiced by Michelle Yeoh, Rhinox is voiced by David Sobolov, and Cheetor is voiced by Tongayi Chirisa.

The steel-hearted leader of the Terrorcons, Scourge, is voiced by Peter Dinklage.

David Sobolov and John DiMaggio will also reappear in different roles as the voices of Battletrap and Transit, respectively.

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez will voice Nightbird, and the role of Unicron is voiced by Colman Domingo.

In addition, Anthony Ramos will play Noah Diaz, an ex-military electronic expert trying to make it as a mechanic on the tough streets of Brooklyn.

Dominique Fishback will feature opposite Anthony as Elena Wallace, an intelligent artifacts researcher working at a museum.

Her discovery of an ancient piece of technology sought after by the Transformers at large will be one of the main elements propelling the story forward.
