Female Socialite, Alhaja Adejobi Arrested For Diversion Of Company’s N40m Goods

A 63-year old female socialite, Oluwatoyin Adejobi, popularly known as Alhaja, has been arrested for allegedly diverting Terra Chicken and Beef cube products worth N40m belonging to Trust Dynamic Services Limited in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Gbagada area of Lagos, where Alhaja was said to have allegedly conspired with others now at large to divert the goods and escaped.
However, she ran out of luck after the company reported to the Police through a petition to the Commissioner of Police, who directed a team of Police officers from the Commissioner of Police Special Squad to investigate the alleged crime.
The Police moved into action, tracked Alhaja Adejobi and detained her at the Command for interrogation over the missing products.
After thorough interrogation and having been found culpable for her alleged involvement in the diversion, she was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conspiracy and stealing under the Criminal Laws of the State.
However, she pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned in Court.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B. O. Osunsanmi, granted her bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment.
The matter was adjourned till 20th July, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
