The Heartland FC of Owerri are back to the Nigeria elite league — Nigeria Premier league after a ten month spell at the lower league.
The Naze Millionaires on Wednesday Evening at Stephen Keshi International Stadium Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State, deafeted the Sporting Lagos 2-1 to top the Southern Conference group table and sealed their place to play the final against Kano Pillars.
It is interesting to note that they played unbeaten during the lower league’s season and also toping the Southern Conference group table to seal their place in the Nigeria elite league.
Having sealed their place at the NPL, the former Iwuanyanwu Nationale will play in the final against Kano Pillars to determine the champion of the Nigeria National League.
Fans and supporters are elated with the promotion of the club side, which was inherited in disarray by the administration of the Governor Hope Uzodimma, which prompted their relegation to the lower league.
