Football Made In Anambra…

Posted on July 16, 2023

I was at the Awka township Stadium yesterday to see some magical moments. Indeed, “what football cannot do in the lives of young people, does not exist”.

The Awka Township Stadium has become a fast growing nursery bed where football talents are harnessed. This thriving football community is again reaffirming the power of Sports in youth development, and its corollary impact on crime reduction.

In the last 2weeks, the Awka Stadium has played host to the ongoing Under-19 Nationwide League, attracting teams from across the country and Sports officials from reputable football Associations.

The Anambra State Football Association under the Leadership of Nigeria ex-international and football General, Mr. Chikelue Iloenyosi, is working daily to ensure the discovery and growth of local football talents that will make National and global impact. I was at the Stadium yesterday to thrill myself to the best of football made in Anambra, and I wasn’t disappointed.
