Crayfish Hawker Attacks KAI Officer For Seizing Her Wares

A 42-year old crayfish seller, Mrs, Nnenna Amaechi, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly attacking a KAI officer, Mrs. Ilesanmi Success, for seizing her crayfish, which she displayed for sale by the roadside for sale. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Igando Bus Stop area of Lagos.

The victim, Success, reportedly seized the crayfish and claimed that she was obstructing traffic in the area and therefore, her wares must be carted away.
While Mrs. Success was carting away her crayfish, Nnenna held, beat her mercilessly and tore her KAI uniform, which eventually landed her in more trouble.
The matter was reported to the Police at Igando Division and she was arrested and detained at the station for allegedly attacking the KAI officer and tearing her uniform.
She was said to have as well resisted arrest and assaulted a Police Inspector, Okodigun Gloria, by holding her uniform when she was arrested at the bus stop.
After interrogation, the Police found her culpable and subsequently charged her before the Isolo Magistrate Court for the alleged assault.
She pleaded not guilty when she was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Oje Uagbale, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Akokhia, granted her bail with surety in like sum who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
The matter was adjourned till 19th September, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody correctional center at Kirikiri town pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
