All Spheres Leadership
Posted on July 29, 2023

The art of leadership has nothing to do with a particular hierarchical position. It is rooted in our attitude in executing our responsibilities for the betterment of others. Our commitment to positively touch lives irrespective of the position or the situation we found ourselves is what manifest the leadership nature in us.
It is an undebatable fact that the cardinal problem in our society is leadership failure. The failure in totality is not only on the part of those in the position of authority but also on the part of the general public’s position of thoughts. How relevant are you to yourself, your family and your surroundings? What moral impact are you making in your society? No one can take you up the ladder if you are not willing to struggle your way up. No field is ploughed through prayers nor complaints, but through practical diligence.
A society can only produce a type of leader in pari pasu to the nature of the people living in the society. A snake only beget something long. Corrupt leaders in public seat of authority only fester in a society that condones corruption. For instance, if fifty million Nigerians should march to Aso Rock and say enough is enough, enough automatically will be enough.
You don’t need to be in a top position to be a leader. You are required by every moral standard to lead from any position you found youself. Every moral impact you make on another individual qualifies you a citizen in the kingdom of leadership. Morality is what separated humanity from the so called lower animals. But I can see today that many of the so called lower animals are richer in morality than many men. What a paradox!
Without high level of corruption in the society, corrupt politicians will not find the necessary waters to germinate their seeds of deceit. In this year 2023 general election, it was amazing to see a huge chunks of mainly the youth fight selflessly for the emergence of what they believed would be better for Nigeria. It is the dominating attitude in our society that determines the altitude of the ingratitude of our political actors.
It takes consistent commitment to master the art of drawing a sling in order to hit the forehead of the Goliath. Keep contributing your best! You don’t have to be the king to save a situation. You can be a dish washer and still be a leader, for a sheep rearer, a little boy David, once saved a situation a king failed to save. Leadership from all corners is what is required to remedy the chronic dilema militating against our very survival as a People.
We must have clear purpose with effective communication and be a role model as we influence others morally for the actualization of our desired future. A future where hopes and dreams would flourish on a fertile soil of good governance; where there shall be no embers of hate; where religious activities shall be of an individual person’s affairs, void of national concerns and finance. And above all, where your native home shall be determined by your place of residence.
On my bended knees I pray ‘thee’ to note this: It is not just the fault of he who destroys, but also of he who watches the destruction without doing something to either stop, mitigate or prevent such destruction from happening in the future.
