Lagos Street Soccer LOC Set To Train Coaches and Referees

The Lagos Street Soccer Championship through the Technical Committee is set to train coaches and referees on the rules of the game.

The Lagos Street Soccer as put together by the Lagos State government for the youths, is a yearly 5-a-side grassroots football competition govern by the FIFA approved FUTSAL LAWS with permissible slight modification.

Mr. Yomi Kuku, chairman of the Technical Committee will lead the training on the laws of the competition and he will be ably assisted by Mr. Ayeni Saheed, chairman of the Referee Sub Committee.

Former Nigerian international, Taiwo Oloyede who is also the chairman of the coaches Sub Committee will be amongst others in charge of the training for coaches of the Lagos Street Soccer championship.

Other members of the technical committee includes veteran journalist, Wale Joseph and FIFA Retired Referee, Toyin Oginni will also provide insights on varying topics to prepare the coaches and teams ahead of the commencement of the Lagos Street Soccer Championship.

The 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship is the eight edition of the annual event and it’s making a big return after going on break since 2014.

It is being reawakened by the newly elected executive of the Lagos State Football Association led by Fuad Oki.
