2 Company Workers Arrested For Stealing iPhones Worth N25.7m & Selling At Give Away Prices

Two company workers, Odesanya Mayowa David and Abujade Kehinde, have landed in trouble after they allegedly stole some iPhones worth N25.7m and were later caught through the buyer in Lagos State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 22nd December, 2022, at Freight Handling Limited located at Memunat Ayodeji Crescent, Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos.
The suspected buyer of the items, Oluwafemi Alaafin, has been arrested in connection with the stolen phones and charged before the Court alongside the the prime suspects, David and Kehinde, for their alleged conduct.
While David and Kehinde were charged  before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conspiracy and stealing, the 30-year old Alaafin was charged for receiving stolen iPhones worth the said amount.
The Police alleged that Alaafin received received seven stolen iPhones worth N7m on 30th December, 2022, then on 20th January, 2023, he received another five iPhones worth N3m and on 3rd March, 2023, Alaafin also received another 50 iPhones worth N15.7m belonging to Freight Handling Limited.
However,  they pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The defendants were granted bail in the sum of N2m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment including addresses to be verified by the Court.
They were remanded in custody at the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 30th October, 2023 for mention.
