Man, 32, Arrested For R*ping Drunk Girl, 16, During Church Service

A 32-year old man, Gbenga Kolawole, has landed in trouble for allegedly raping a 16-year old drunk girl during a church programme in Ogun State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 6th November, 2023, at Adubi area of Ogun State.
According to the Police, the victim got drunk and went to the church for the programme. And while she was misbehaving, the suspect lured her to a nearby shop in the area and had sex with her.
However, she later regained her senses and informed her mother about what happened. It did not go down well with her mother and she reported the alleged rape to the Police.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, who confirmed at the Command that the suspect was in custody undergoing interrogation over his alleged conduct.
The Police image maker stated that the aggrieved mother of the victim, had gone to the Police to report that her 16-year old daughter, who got drunk during an annual Church anniversary celebration was raped.
An embittered mother told the Police that the suspect took her daughter while she was drunk to a nearby bar shop, locked her there and allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
SP Odutola stated that while the suspect was still in the act, he was caught by one Sunday Ibrahim “m” of same address, who raised alarm and the matter got exposed.
The Police spokesperson said that the victim has been taken to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment while the suspect has been arrested for preliminary investigation.
She stated that the suspect will likely be charged before the Court for the alleged rape but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
